CHALLENGE
ALA needed a solution that would make the travel and expense reporting process more efficient and transparent, to simplify travel management on a global scale. More specifically, it was looking for a solution that would allow it to have full visibility of its costs in order to be able to reduce its overall spending on travel expenses.
Furthermore, one of the main needs of the company’s administration was to be able to automate and speed up the expense accounting operations on the FI module of SAP ERP.
SOLUTION
Ccelera worked with ALA to digitise and automate internal processes using SAP Concur.
Thanks to the use of SAP Concur Expense, business expenses can be digitised and simplified, streamlining the administrative tasks related to travel and expense management. The system can be accessed both from a PC and a mobile app, making it easy to use for all team members.
The system’s Expenslt function (OCR) enabled employees to significantly reduce the time taken to create expense reports by intelligently “capturing” the necessary information from a digital photo of the receipt.
Moreover, with the adoption of the Budget module, managers can approve employee expense reports while having full visibility of the impact that each individual expense has on their budget. With the support of ALA’s IT team, the standard integration between SAP Concur Expense and SAP FI modules of SAP S/4 HANA was activated to enable the automatic accounting of expense reports.
