By automating certain steps of the recruiting process, artificial intelligence comes to the rescue to assess an applicant’s true suitability.
New frontiers of innovation in the recruiting process
For companies today, recruiting is one of the areas that requires increasing monitoring and attention. Iperal, a company active in the large-scale retail sector with 50 shops including hypermarkets and supermarkets in eight Lombardy provinces and around 4.000 employees, has chosen Ccelera to support an innovative development plan that involves the opening of new shops and hiring new people to work well with. But how can you optimise the recruiting process and select the best applicants for your organisation?
Automation of HR processes and focus on people
Today, the recruiting process requires efficiency and speed in order to respond to the dynamic nature of the labour market.
We were able to understand the importance for the customer of a long-term strategy with which to automate low value-added activities and focus on higher value-added ones.
This was made possible by customising the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting software according to the customer’s needs, which was then integrated with Virtual Recruit, a provider of rapid psychometric assessments that allows texts to be customised in relation to the profile being sought: “The selection process has been optimised”, explains Angelo Moscatelli, HR Director at Iperal. “Therefore, all actors who have an active role in the selection process are facilitated by a whole series of alerts and tools that enable them to optimise the various aspects of the selection process”.
SAP SuccessFactors and Virtual Recruit in synergy
Activities that used to take up a lot of time in the past, today having been automated, make it possible to reclaim valuable interview time.
“It’s all developed in a single environment where our recruiters can map out the applicants’ characteristics and experience, not to mention personality traits, and understand how well these characteristics match what we are looking for’, says Moscatelli. ‘The combination of SAP SuccessFactors and Virtual Recruit allowed us to optimise the process of finding the right people”.
In just three days all functions and tools were integrated into one platform that gathers and maps applicants’ soft and hard skills. This with a view to identifying the right characteristics even before the interview phase.
Automating certain processes in the selection process will now allow Iperal’s HR team to focus on tuning in with people during the later stages of recruiting, to communicate and convey brand values and thus increase the chance of finding the right people with whom to work well together.
