The new 2211 version of SAP Commerce.
SAP has announced that the extension of support for obsolete versions of SAP Commerce will end in the near future. This decision was taken in view of the transition to the continuous innovation strategy launched with SAP Commerce Cloud 2211. Therefore, you can upgrade the Hybris Commerce platform if you are using version 2205 or earlier.
It’s important to note that the 2211 version of Commerce Cloud is exclusively cloud-based. On-prem customers with previous versions wishing to upgrade to Commerce 2211 will need to migrate to the Cloud first, and then upgrade to Commerce 2211. Alternatively, customers can opt for the latest on-prem update, up to version 2205 (by the date set by SAP).
The end of maintenance
The end of the maintenance phase for previous versions of SAP Commerce Cloud and On-Premise is scheduled to take place in the next two years. This means that companies have until then to upgrade to the latest version and secure support from SAP.
