The workshop “Supply Chain Agility and Innovation: the Benefits of the Public Cloud” was held yesterday in Milan.
The event featured a variety of presentations and personal experiences:
Francesca Saraceni, Senior Researcher Cloud Transformation Observatory and B2B Software Expert at @Osservatori Digital Innovation, who shared valuable perspectives on the importance of digital transformation and innovation in supply chain management through Public Cloud adoption. She spoke about the progress the Cloud has made in the last ten years, how legacy systems will evolve, and the main reasons for the need for modernisation within companies.
During the panel discussion, participants shared experiences from their companies, the growing needs of their businesses and best practices in implementing Public Cloud-based solutions.

Fabrizio’s presentation offered an in-depth analysis of SAP’s crucial role in creating advanced, pre-configured supply chain solutions and illustrated how these solutions can be optimised through the Public Cloud. With regard to the growing interest in the integration of Cloud and AI, he bore witness to the cultural change and challenges that small and medium-sized companies are facing.

Emanuele Prudenzano presented some short but informative nuggets on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud for the Supply Chain, highlighting the benefits and potential of this solution also thanks to its integration with AI. The keywords for this time of transformation are: Relevance, Reliability, Responsibility and Sustainability.
During the event, an exciting announcement was made about Joule, SAP’s new generative AI assistant. This tool promises to revolutionise supply chain management by offering advanced, intelligent solutions.
The workshop, moderated by Giovanni lozzia, Editor-in-Chief of @EconomyUp, was a key moment for sharing knowledge and experience in the field of Supply Chain innovation through the Cloud, as well as delving into real-life cases and the opportunities for continuous updating and access to best practices built up over SAP’s ten-year history.
